PTA Family:

The White House issued the following recommendations:
All Americans, including the young and healthy, should avoid gathering in groups of more than 10 people, avoid all non-essential travel and avoid eating in bars, restaurants and public food courts.  Americans should follow these increased CDC guidelines for the next 15 days, after which the agency will re-evaluate whether those recommendations will be extended.

As leaders we are taught a great deal about leadership, how to deal with adversity, being resilient and persevering. Now is the time you are needed to put those traits to practice. We don’t grow when things are easy. But when things are hard, it is an opportunity to grow and to achieve new heights. Yes, it will look different than we thought. Our path is unknown. Will it be easy? Nope. Will it be worth it? You bet!  Take a few days to reflect and celebrate what you have accomplished, be sad about what you are missing, and look forward to what you’re about to achieve. I’m proud of you!  Now let’s lead together, challenge each other, and achieve more!

I know many of you are concerned about your upcoming elections.  Because this is a nationwide emergency, I am asking that you not hold elections at this time.  Voting is not permitted in any other form but in person and since we are being asked to not hold gatherings, it would be best to not hold any meetings at this time.  As restrictions are lifted and schools are back in session, we will look again at a timeline for elections.  Current officers can stay in place until new officers are voted, even if this means that elections are held in September.  Please do not worry, we will work on this together.

Tomorrow evening, Wednesday March 18th, at 8:00pm will be PA PTA's monthly training webinar.  Please join us.  The original topic was to be on Nominations and Elections but we will be on to answer any questions that we can help with.  Please join us as we work together to make it thru this unexpected crisis.

Please stay safe, stay home, stay healthy.
